If you're one for sleek, modern hotels, this may not resonate with you, but if character and warmth entice you, this spot has its merits. As I arrived, Ben welcomed us with a thorough introduction to the hotel's history, setting a pleasant tone for our stay. Our room was cozy, adequately heated, and clean, thanks to the unobtrusive housekeeping. The garden area provided a delightful space to unwind with drinks-a nice touch for those balmy evenings. Breakfast was a highlight; Paul's culinary skills paired with Lily's attentive service turned the experience into a communal joy. Dining in the library, thanks to Lily's thoughtful arrangement, allowed our family to bond over a well-prepared meal. While the Priory may not boast the plush luxury of modern hotels, it offers remarkable value for those seeking warmth, charm, and a sense of history-all wrapped up in a picturesque package.
